we need a bigger one
Learning a lot about how, when, how much, bugs, what to do with all the organic veggies, and weeds.
Finding newly sprouted veggies has been so much fun that I have been calling them my little babies :) Among the babies I have: cucumbers, green beans, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, beef steak tomatoes, basil, oregano, rosemary, sage, rhubarb and horseradish.
Sometimes I can't believe I actually got stuff to grow so next year..... we need a bigger one!
Door County Baby!
I finally got to make the pilgrimage with Rob and his family to Door County Wisconsin. They have been going there since Rob's mom was a little girl.
It was fun to see the sights I had been hearing about, hear the stories of their times there, and enjoy days of relaxing together.
I am greatly blessed by my new family. They show me in all their different ways that they love and care for me and they are easy to laugh with .... My cup runith over.
Pictures (Right to Left): 1. Rob and I, 2. Me, 3. Goats on the roof of a restaurant, 4. My new nieces and I, 5.Rob eating his favorite cherry pie in the whole wide world
Ministry in the City
We went with our church family to Chicago to help with a day camp. Inner City Impact is a wonderful ministry which ministers to many children and we had the great opportunity to help for a week.
It's awesome to see people giving up a weeks worth of vacation to serve the needs of this ministry and to serve these children.
A heart of stone melted...
This is a testimony of an antagonist atheist approaching the truth that Jesus is the savior of mankind's soul as if he were collecting evidence for a court case.
Amazing to see this man faced with the hard evidence and his heart of stone melting in understanding and he can no longer deny the truth.
My heart literally jumps for joy when I am blessed to hear testimonies like this.
I would encourage you to watch.

Run Robby Run!
I have been so proud of my superhero husband to have ran his first half marathon this past weekend and to fit all of that training into our busy lives.
Camping the night before the race. Here is the song I made them listen to all weekend (it's a play on some top 40 song and it's about Israel's History.... makes me want to dance)
Boys just wrestle
We we were on a mission to find them along the run and cheer them on. It was fun encouraging all the runners along the way.
Done! Luke finished in 1 hour 50 minutes and Rob finished in 1 hour and 51 minutes.... That's fast!

Rob even kept training after I had decided not to run the race. That is why I have been thankful for Luke. Luke is a 15 year old who is in our youth group but more like a little brother to Rob (Rob has known him since he was a baby). Luke trained and ran in the race with Rob.
Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Wedding toes
This is the polish left from my wedding back in November and it was taken off 6 days shy of our 6 month anniversary.
What can I say, I was slightly attached.
This might also explain why my wedding dress was on the outside of a closet door in the hallway of our house for 3 months.
I loved my wedding. But mostly I love the man I married.

My only boast is you!
This song rocks my world.
Favorite lines:
"You bore the wrath reserved for me, now all I know is grace"
"Oh Father, use my ransomed life in any way you choose"

2. Cut off the very top of each lemon.
3. Scoop out all the lemon "guts so all your left with is a hollow rind.
4. Throw all the "guts" into a juicer.
5. Pour the juice into ice cube tray.

simple thankfulness
Below is the best Facebook post i have seen in a long time. It comes form a women whose husband committed suicide and one year later she lost her 17 year old son to cancer. A thankful heart is fuel to her soul.
Thanks Nicole for reminding me to be more thankful in all circumstances.
